Update bij Monet in Street Art nummer 11 in Zaandam Zuid
Fantastic news! So we made it well ahead of schedule!. The funds have been raised to secure this lovely project which means that soon, the wall of my house will soon be adorned with a rendition of Claude Monet's Ooster Kattegat, one of the 25 pieces he painted during his visit to Zaandam in 1871.
This Project, Monet in Street Art, Zaandam would not happen without the artists themselves, Piotr (BC_ESOBE), Macie(Just Drone It) and Angel(Anger) who wanted residents and visitors to Zaandam, to see and appreciate what inspired Monet's work here 153 years ago. And what a great idea to have this represented on our walls, which would otherwise be bare and empty.
In conjunction with Simone of Monet Atelier, (who happens to be a fantastic community friend & supporter), my wall was chosen. An added bonus, is that the wall faces the Tamarinde School which has an awesome children's adventure playground. So I cannot help but imagine how beautiful it would be, the backdrop of Monet, whilst children play.
Thank you so much neighbours, friends close and far, Voorjewikie and Gemeente Zaanstad, for your love of art and your appreciation and love of community, which drove these generous donations
Once the funds are released by our city Zaanstad, work will commence, so watch this space for upcoming updates.
